Use this sentence when you try to cheer sb. up: Pull yourself together.
Everyone has to abide by his promise: Live up to your words.
When you hope other people show mercy to you, use this: Take it easy on me.
When you agree with something, say this: I will go along with that

SDZ, thanks for your appending. I can't go along with that more. We will pull together, live up to the principle established by Uncle Yeti, and attain our goal to improve English. BTW, what is "走步"? 图片点击可在新窗口打开查看

My supplement: cheapskate; skinflint; miser; pinchfist; stingy; tightfisted(握紧你的拳头); close the purse strings(勒紧钱袋上的绳子); have an itching palm(给钱, 给钱); nurse a nickel(象你的孩子)

生意人都不喜欢被: driven a hard bargain.

The Golden Calf means money which originated from a story in the Bible.

A funny expression: squeeze the eaglel until it grins

我能想到得中文的相应说法大概有: 铁公鸡,吝啬鬼, 守财奴. 典型的文学形象有 巴尔扎克笔下的葛朗台和莫里哀笔下的阿巴公.

So, SDZ, don't be so stingy to share your love story. Is it true that, once upon a time, a girl trimmed your fingernails?

To be honest, I am not willing to be the"铁公鸡". For you have a basket of love stories at hand, if you can share them first, I can be inspired and maybe I can cook up one. 图片点击可在新窗口打开查看
